Tridentifer
Left To Rot
Independent
Remember their album Path Of The Damned Souls? ...With crust sound they have there, people could possibly confuse them with Swedish scene? They dropped it off in studio and Left To Rot is now armed with more traditional but still old school production.
New songs are pretty in similar shape as their debut and that`s OK. Death metal is a name here and this is what I need right now.
I do not have any info about their line-up for Left To Rot but I guess it`s slightly reduced and/or changed. First of all, vocals are different than I heard before and now it is stronger with both black/death expressions. On music ground, Tridentifer is mixing slow, primitive doom parts with most ordinary death metal, just like Asphyx on their albums. The sound is not that powerful for sure but they are more obscure, thanks that. Songs feel like were written by one-two men and if I am not wrong they suffer the position of second guitarists. The other guy could certainly throws fresh idea and maturity into structures of the songs which they lack a bit.
It is still good album, tho. Keyboards are creepy, the other time mysterious and they put it in right spots to bring monumental character to the songs. There is a fragment of Dracula`s soundtrack, originally composed by maestro Wojciech Kilar (RIP) and I never am enough of it. Tridentifer used just few seconds of his score but Kilar was my countryman and they got me with this!; Better under my skin.
Left To Rot have few faster songs, sometimes melodic but I prefer this records with medium pace, abyssic parts and simple guitars. It`s just how it works best for me.
For now, I can`t see Tridentifer as a band that progresses their music with each album released so far and I do not know if it was ever a purpose. I always like every Bolt Thrower album for example because they never changed their style radically and same thought goes to Tridentifer.
Those Germans are bit closer to black metal than it was on first album but above all, it`s death metal and I do not need to think about anything else to just like those songs.

3. Risen
4. Abandon All Hope
5. Death Injection
