Witchclan - Misanthropist – Dark Shade Records CD
The first CD made by the label which releases mostly cassettes in their day-night activity if I am not mistaken. This is a 500 limited edition CD with exclusive authentic certificate sheet and I just love the add. Ok. Witchclan is an English, one man black metal band and my first doubt could be – does Matt Bass dealing with all instruments properly to my ears? I would say, fuck yeah. All instruments play fine and have been mastered well as good as vocals. Those songs have grumpy, monumental riffs. Doomy parts remind me some Goblin echoes in keyboard structures. Witchclan sounds more Scandinavian in his black metal but foggy atmosphere like early Cradle of Filth is a plus. Considering a fact that this is debut album composed by one guy then only better things could happen developing skills for next CD.
