War Agenda
Propaganda
Great Dane Records
Second album of German War Agenda in lyrical content gives you best times of conspiracy theories, taste of deception, terror, hate, war, fear, religion, confusion, hypocrisy, which disorder all informations that mass-media and governments tell you in news...
Propaganda when comes to music is a hitting hard thrash metal, merging German thrash (Kreator) with Bay Area influences (Exodus), and I have to tell you that we have here in Poland the band just as good as War Agenda, which is Souls Collector. I am writing you about this because these bands have singers who have a similar pitch of voice in the way they sing...
...What is very characteristic and sound familiar in music of War Agenda are properly violent and aggressive vocals of Moustafa Troll who sounds a bit like Steve Souza from Exodus. Moustafa`s angry lines and melodic choruses are undeniably a salt to your wound that will makes you feel pissed off but alive. I play this album non-stop for last few days, it appears to me that songs of the band are refreshed version of 80/90`s thrash metal but the music of War Agenda has it all to empower listeners of the genre in present time.
You have here a super aggressive and fast song like Plan-B (Terror), explosive track Propaganda, a song with kicking ass guitar solos (Human Race!), and the other one with melodic leads - United In Hypocrisy. Heavier track is Silence Of Justice with catchy, undistorted instrumental moments ...One song that feels more like a thrash-ballad is Child Of Dreams, with very Kreator-like guitar work that you can hear toward the end of the track. Song like War Of Nations (and its not the only one like that) has this very good, melodic vocal lines that create better synergy in music of the band. You get plenty of energizing guitar shreds (Apartheid) and interesting guitar harmonies (Chaos Invasion (2050)), which really make me think that every song here builds its own musical character, created by fabulous work between rhythm and lead guitarists - Raafat and Ingo. All songs go with very good lyrics. A taste of great musicianship you will also find in Hemdi`s drumming throughout the album. A bassist for the band is Marcel who made band`s rhythm section sounds very solid.
Without thinking much about my verdict, Propaganda is one of the best thrash metal assaults of this year. Treat yourself well and check this album out!
