Thou Shell Of Death
Witchery
Talheim Records
Thou Shell Of Death comes from Estonia. This album delves into the secrets of nature and life existence, more on the basis of experiencing the magic through it, which you can call witchery.
The band's music combines of 2 elements. One is black metal – deep, screeching-growl vocals, repeatable, loud sound of drums can put you in a sort of trance... Also, constantly active keyboards that band plays along sound ominous, eerie, quite like it was something that gives tone and character to the music, which indeed it does. The tempo of the album, a grave sound of guitars and bass is very doom metal which is a second element that bond atmosphere in this album.
The songs are long (nothing less than 10 minutes) and darely monotonous, but the band (mainly the imaginative keyboard player), sucking you into it like the black hole does , so that the hour with this album is a dark and mysterious journey through the vastness of shadow`s world which Thou Shell Of Death create in depth of their crushing sound.
Well thought-out album that consists of all good songs, for fans of atmospheric black/funeral doom metal.
