The Road Vikings
Requiem Of An Outlaw Biker
Sliptrick Records
This band is a living example of American, Southern heavy metal in best fashion way. Of course, this is all rock`n`roll if you want to keep it simpler. They are troopers of desert and their only friend on the road is a snake with many faces. You know, I rather have being watched American culture than know it from autopsy but I always liked evil-lyrical transgression from it which is really fun to read about and listen to some tunes with such inheritance.
The vocals are really cool, melodic and music is following this quality with lots of great guitar patents and superb arrangements. Heaven&hell type of lyrics is sometimes like meeting DIO again which is a very cool on the music level they put too. Harmonica give this album more country vibe and it`s so pity I can hear it just very few times. This album have ups and no downs and is so easy to ride on with a glass of whisky. Songs are super catchy and buy your attention from the first song. The other thing I like about it and I completely believe my judgment is that the album is written so natural that both passion and enjoyment just come natural along with. Songs have very solid heavy metal fundaments, they do not let it sounds plastic even with rock elements and I do not think any asshole in radio station could say “it`s too heavy to play” because it`s balanced beautifully in my opinion.
OK, these guys;
Dan Bryant: Lead Vocals / Lead Guitar / Harmonica
Lisa Tonra: Bass / Vocals
Dave Dab: Drums
they call themselves Vikings (there are Vikings in Northern Poland for your knowledge, so it`s not just Scandinavian thing) but it`s rather very American sounding album and I give it steel thumbs up.
