Sweeping Death
Tristesse

Sweeping Death (GER) is just releasing the new EP with 3 tracks. It`s open with best song of this offering in my opinion, which is the track The World As Will. The song is about melodic, structured, progressive metal, with superbly melodic vocal harmonies and harsher singing as well. Many guitar solos, technical guitar work and catchy chorus sound quite impressive, as well as cello solo and piano compositions. It`s not just instrumental side of their music that shines here, generally, the song has all its quality elements in places so the music become quickly memorable.
Alter The Rift starts off with piano, but has to be mentioned, that first minute and 30 seconds of the track, have classical music feel to it. It should not be surprise, we all know that countries like Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary Russia, old Czech and Slovak Republics are absolutely super power in classical music, which history of this kind of music can tell... It`s pretty cool to hear the vocalist reaching out for highest frequencies in his voice, like in heavy metal bands, so when I hear those yet, harsher parts in singer`s performance sometimes, I would say it should be stopped (it does not sound bad, just not as good as clean vocals that for me sound much better). Instrumentally, Sweeping Death slays - European style of progressive metal.
...And the third track entitled Sublime Me, has a dirge beginning, and... Lots of layered guitar passages, groove, some thrashy guitar shreds, as well as heavier wall of breaking sounds and melodic leads - going around rhythmic guitar, acoustic compositions and brilliantly done solos. All these musical aspect together, make it very interesting release for me that I like to crack down in my head , in order to enjoy it afterwards.
I recommend Tristesse EP (mixed and mastered in Spain and USA) for listeners of ambitious music, which is melodic, progressive, technical metal with twist of classical music.
