Sweeping Death
Astoria
Independent

Bavarian/German thrashers debut their first EP and for me this like a BINGO! They derive old school influences from classic progressive thrash bands like Deathrow, Watchtower which endlessly, I am a big fan of.  Both music and production are somehow marked by 80`s and 90`s sound and Sweeping Death is just so convincing doing their thing.  There is no margin of doubt left for me if I just focus on music that delivers so much energy and passion so there is no way to question great quality of their songs. Drum tracks are technical, diverse and just incredible. Vocals are aggressive but go melodic if needed. Both guitarists play amazing technical passages and even better solos. You can literally hear this German school of speed, air ripping shreds and harmonies which say a lot good things about their skills as musicians. Yes, this is mostly thrash EP but they “smuggling” multi melodic heavy metal motives which sometimes reminds me of Iron Maiden. I do not think that any influences here are intentional. This is Sweeping Death and Astoria with all those details in music  is so challenging for me and I am sure for enthusiasts  of progressive metal, too. I leave my watching eye upon the band actions because with this 6 songs EP they initiate something special for sake of the music and I am becoming a devotee of it.
