Stromptha
Endura Pleniluniis
Satanath Records / Pest Records
Songs of this release were released as a demo entitled “Endure” in 2019. Now, the material is out again, but is being treated as a full length album, which comes with re-mastered sound, new title and artwork.
Endura Pleniluniis is divided into 2 parts. First chapter called "CAPITULUM I: CONSOLAMENT" is made of tracks 1-3. This part of the album, particularly song De Sang Et De Brouillard is more doom black metal with melodic leads, clean vocals and very harsh shrieks. Cold wave sound of keyboards is an intense experience as it unfolds its ominous soundscapes in musical journey that this one man band from Greenland has to offer. The keyboards also have an ambient, more individual role when you hear them stands alone, as it is in song Au Bout Du Tunnel: La Nuit Et La Neige, where musical tendency of the track is also more black metal. Que Les Corbeaux Forgent La Tempête is dense and atmospheric song where you can hear black folk/doom influences in music of Stromptha.
Second part of the album (tracks 4-6) is called "CAPITULUM II: TRESPASSAMENT". Cold wave vocals (Le Passage Aux Fleurs) and dark gothic black metal atmosphere together, sound more experimental. Album has eerie keyboards sound everywhere on the album, groovy song Brûle, Prairie De Roses is another proof of that. The music atmosphere in this part of the album is more cold wave, singing vocals sound darker but still, those metal ones sound rough and obscure just as the production of the album is, which has a feel of home-made recording. Those last three tracks - if you like The Cure, metal, goth, punk and cold, experimental sounds, those songs sound more original (eventually) than music in that first part, however, it is track De Sang Et De Brouillard that is my favourite one of this release, because it`s most melodic of the band and perhaps a bit more catchy.
