Muzycy tego Francuskiego zespołu powołali do życia Soulslicer z myślą by tworzyć inny death metal niż w ich macierzystych zespołach (AD VITAM INFERNAL, ANTERIA, ATHANATHEOS, among others). Pandemic to płyta zawierająca piosenki głównie w średnich i wolnyh tempach, nigdy bardzo szybkich. Zespół stawia na cięzkie brzmienia gitar (Soulslicer (Your Time , Your War)), chwytliwą rytmikę (Flesh Eternal, Armies), i szczyptę melodii (nie za dużo). Jest tu aktywna gra perkusisty, sporo dobrze brzmiących stóp, ale nie ma blast beats w efekcie wyszło ich muzycę na dobre - nie są kolejnym klonem Cannibal Corpse. Wokale brzmią brutalnie, a teksty są apokaliptyczne, o wirusach, zarazach umysłu, nuklearnych zagrożeniach itp... Zdecydowanie jest to old schoolowy death metal, inspirowany Bolt Thrower - taka piosenka jak Archangels Of Atomic Light dość mocno ten zespół przypominają, choć zdecydowanie najlepszą piosenką na tym albumie jest dla mnie Armies z miażdżącą i chwytliwą rytmiką gitarową. Utwór Radioactive Grave jest w stylu wolnego, posępnego death/doom metalu i zespołu Aspyx, ale jest tu więcej momentów na albumie, które przypominają ten właśnie zespół, szczególnie, jesli chodzi o barwę wokali ich wokalisty Samuela. Przez to, że Soulslicer nie gra bardzo szybko, to sądzę, że zespół stworzył tu piosenki mniej brutalne, ale bardziej jakościowe, stonowane i muzykalne.
Produkcja albumu jest średniej klasy (brzmią na 3/4 mocy w porównaniu do Bolt Thrower), ale i tak piosenki które już wymieniłem stanowią dobre punkty na albumie, bez cienia wątpliwości.

The musicians of this French band brought to life Soulslicer with the idea of creating a different death metal than in their first bands (AD VITAM INFERNAL, ANTERIA, ATHANATHEOS, among others). Pandemic is an album with songs mostly in medium and slow tempos, never very fast.
The band focuses on heavy guitar sounds (Soulslicer (Your Time, Your War)), catchy rhythms (Flesh Eternal, Armies), and a pinch of melody (overall, not too much). There is an active drummer here who plays a lot of good sounding kick drums, but no blast beats, which I think turned out to be good for their music - they are not another clone of Cannibal Corpse. Vocals sound brutal and lyrics are apocalyptic about viruses, diseases of the mind, nuclear threats etc ...It's definitely old school death metal, inspired by Bolt Thrower - a song like Archangels Of Atomic Light reminds this band quite strongly, although the best song of this album for me is Armies with a crushing and catchy guitar rhythms. The song Radioactive Grave is in the style of slow, gloomy death / doom metal and the band Aspyx, but there are more moments on the album that are reminiscent of this particular band, especially when it comes to the vocal timbre of their vocalist Samuel. Due to the fact that Soulslicer doesn't play very fast, I think the band created songs that are less brutal, but more qualitative, down toned and musically attractive.
The album's production is mid-range (they sound 3/4 of the power compared to Bolt Thrower), but the songs that I have already mentioned are good points of the album, without a doubt.
