Soleil Noir

As far as I can recall this is my first review of doom band here. They hail from small European country Luxembourg and I am being nicely surprise by their music that you can read about below.
My copy of the album shows there are 6 songs but CD tracks some more so I just feel privileged that I am able to spend more time with this nostalgic music. This album is instrumental if you not willing to count political speech in 2 songs and sort of female declamation in French for few seconds. I think that is the worst think to make politics or non politics speak as politics the rulers or TV stars as this is not what their role is. And wherever they come from and whatever they do and I do not find it interesting to hear that on this album at all.
Fortunately essence of the band is music above all and there I go. Soleil Noir interact with your imagination by slow, doomy riffs, making it several time fast but never faster. There are lots of atmospheric parts and motives that show a band familiar to psychedelic rock, not only metal. All that makes this record deeper in thoughts as words are not spoken. I do not know if that`s true a doom metal is associated with Fall season tho. When you stand on the open field and watching astonishing nature dying with all its shapes and shades in order to open the gates of Winter. All that is beautiful rather than sad as this is a cycle of nature. This is wonderful grey music if you like colour comparisons exceeded on feelings. Those songs are mostly long with heaviness you would not resist and all instrumentation are just so welcoming and invading your subconscious in most precious way you would not expect.
I am aware this album is not any new in doom rock but is good enough to fulfil my chalice of satisfaction and I have no complaints what`s so ever.

Soleil Noir
S/T
Ecopack CD
I played this CD after my 2015 Dodecahedron review was ready and I always want to write something about material that been provided to me.
This release is more metal than their last one and is fairly less diverse but I`m still amazed by this band and how they approach their cosmopolitan universe. They write simple songs but this is the way this band is so strong by that and aesthetic. They are like antithesis of light and I am glad this band searches and finds so many excellent riffs here. There are no regular vocals and just few declamations (quotes as suppose)that gives you idea what is the band`s deduction of the world using just instruments, not much words. Some of the titles like Ancient Alien Astronauts-parts 1, 2 or Splendor Solis could be a clue you looking for to find a place on Earth or just happiness or grief whatever is your goal.
This band nailed it again and yes, I am a fan of Soleil Noir for seeking the boundaries that rarely nobody else is able to discover.
