Sober Truth
Locust Lunatic Asylum
TaktArt Records
This German band has 5 releases out through their 10 years activity and three of them are full albums. Sometimes I read lyrics of the album but not always. This time they lured me to it differently because, instead of reading the whole lyrical content and eventually go through demons of their author, they briefly explain meaning of each song on the cover of the CD. However it`s still free to interpretation because all vocals on the album are rather easy to understand as there is a lot of fairy clear singing so you can delve yourself into it if you like. Vocals are variable by the way and there are melodic parts but also a vocal bits in style of hard core, metal core which are more aggressive.
Music is very diverse here. They have thrashy, groovy sound and plenty of good riffs going on in this album. There is a bit of melancholic factor in music the way they structure some guitar parts. Most importantly, almost each song they worked out, have melodic or catchy parts which is significant and important in vocal lines too. Of course, for most time they just go insane and free the energy that go with aggression of modern metal songs. To my gladness, sometimes I just like the albums that have so many different influences in, which warms me up the way I like it. Definitely it is kind of that album.
Lucust Lunatc Asylum spins many music narrations and is far away of being monothematic: music or lyric wise. In this, I find a karma for me that comes along.
