Regressive

Regressive (Lithuania) plays seriously pissed off metal. Their vocalist-bassist Justas is like a vigilante behind his microphone and he sounds as nasty as Cronos from Venom, but band`s lyrics are more a bunch of horror stories that however feels like a fun.
Regressive serves 9 tracks in style of black thrash metal. Awesome bass work has dirty-metallic distortions to it. This instrument is not just a background for guitar leads, I think it`s as important for music as 6 strings guitar on this record.
The band brings extreme rock`n`roll vibe to their songs which is known from Motorhead when they play punky speed metal riffs (...City Under Siege...). Songs have disgustingly good sound but music is also melodic at times with references to old school heavy metal that can be heard in some of their tunes (The Devils`s Daughter). Guitarist for the band-Vytenis plays really amazing tunes on his axe-shredding, playing solos after solos (Join Us) and delivers some memorable guitar rhythms for each of individual songs. Drumming is nothing out of ordinary but it`s okey. Does it all sound too much for one album? I think it definitely does not. The whole mix of music genres that Regressive threw into their music is like riding a motorcycle with dynamite on it - tunes are super explosive, aggressive and sound very bad ass. A vibe of this album rocks on, the songs are infectious, addictive sort of... Regressive is shifting music between heavy, speed and thrash metal like a chameleon...I do not want to seek out for antidote to that because the songs of this band make a way too amazing impression that I do not want to shake off from my mind. There are so many really strong tracks on this album that spread fire from hell and infernally speedy riffs. You can also hear gun shoots, music synergy is great, songs are burning with ideas and there`s kind of cheesy and over the top element to all of it which is good...
I am totally into music of this band. They really surprised me with this album!
