Prosecutor
Krew Czarnej Ziemi
Thrashing Madness
To fans of thrash metal all over the world, it`s your duty to check this band out because they are fucking freaking awesome. The album has been originally released by Baron records in 1992 but only on cassette and personally, I think it`s one of the most underrated albums of Polish thrash metal. One of reasons to that situation might be a fact that in early 90`s death metal has taken a course, literally crashing down all other genres and was conquering a throne on metal scene for another years. That caused death to many classic thrash metal bands that has been forgotten with their records and too many of them had to stop their activity in the face of more popular, extreme genre which death metal was. I remember Baron rec. was releasing hundreds of demos/albums at the time but Prosecutor is one of few bands that I still keep their cassette with me. I couldn't do it otherwise with album like this one. No way!
Prosecutor is based in Bytom/Silesia. Many people consider that region a cradle of Polish metal with many important bands for the scene like Kat. The band came back after few decades of absence and it`s so cool news this album is finally out on CD format (Thrashing Madness rec.) for very first time. It is out of dispute that it is great occasion to rediscover this band once again and for many new thrash maniacs Prosecutor should be a big surprise how stunning band they are.
Their songs have great vibe from San Francisco, Bay Area thrash and if you look at picture below, you can find that they were keeping up with their old promo pictures as good as Exodus in many ways.

Prosecutor has really electrifying music, high voltage shreds mixed with melodies and aggressive riffs. They just wrote memorable thrash songs on this album which is very wisely composed by the way. I can easily link their music to other band from that region like Necrophobic(RIP) PL and perhaps, you can recognize that specific, Silesian style which I am fond to dig all the time lately .
There are few classics songs on this album the band is known for and those are: Dyktatura Mozgu with excellent vocals and merciless, thrashing riffs. The next is S/T song which is even better than previous one with really energizing, killer ideas and vocal patterns which are good to sing with a band on their live shows. Dla Kogo Swieci Slonce has a vibe of first Exodus and is like an adrenalizer that rips your brain apart from inside out. Pustynia Smierci has some Dragon, Kat influences to it but has been played totally like they were born in Bay Area...Umierac Spadajac is a lot of fun as well. All these songs with few others are essence of model thrash, the way it`s performed is just best for me to hear but of course...Since 1992 thrash has evolved so much that this album just can`t be compared to modern sounding bands that much but music wise, as much as you like. Most of the tracks here are great for head banging, mosh pit and all that shit that make people happy when doing some funny violence around the stage. Despite average production of the album, I absolutely love everything else on it.
The disc has live bonus tracks (...from Jarocin 92, couple from smaller venues) and a lot of extras in CD booklet. Do not hesitate, buy this album or die!
