Oto jest nowy album czeskiego Pikodeath. Zespół ponownie wydał muzykę dla Defense Records, co cieszy, bo album jest szybko dostepny do kupienia w Polsce. Muzyka Czechów z perspektywy przeszłych albumów jest w pewien sposób przewidywalna. Pikodeath gra od lat death metal starej szkoły, który w założeniu nie jest zbyt zorientowany na podążanie za nowinkami, czy modami. Nowa płyta zawiera szybki death metal z mnóstwem świdrujących gitar i perkusyjnej jatki, czyli tego co w tym gatunku było dobre, ale i ciągle jest, gdyż muzyka zespołu daje jasny przekaz że prostoto wykonania to coś co zupełnie wystarcza by dać się ponieść muzyce. Pikodeath tworzy kawałki na podstawie kilku riffów składających się na poszczególne piosenki i te riffy są często powtarzane by słuchacz otrzymał solidny death metalowy potwarz. Udaje im się to. Piosenki brzmią brutalnie i konkretnie. Czesi zahaczają też o mniej oczywiste, melodyjne riffy, które dostarczane są metodą piurkowania, ale usłyszeć też można trochę gitarowych rytmik. Wokale to growle, rasowe, brutalne..
Jest na albumie kilka utworów, których dobrze się słucha w momentach gdy Pikodeath znajduje w muzyce pewną synergię, która kumuluje się z death metalową energią w ciekawszych fragmentach. Dla mnie można to odnaleźć sluchajac takich kawałków jak Four Aces Shooter, Foreboding czy Killed By Silence.
Lubię ten album za zupełnie zwyczajne, surowo brzmiące death metalowe kawałki jakie ta płyta oferuje słuchaczowi. Sądzę że fani Malevolent Creation, Terrorizer czy Dira Mortis łatwo przyswoją ten album, bo w rzeczy samej jest on łatwo strawny w swojej muzycznej konstrukcji.

It`s the new album of Czech group Pikodeath. The band has been releasing music for Defense Records for years, which is good, because the album is quickly available for purchase in Poland. The music of Czechs from perspective of past and newest album is somewhat predictable. Pikodeath has been playing old school death metal for long time, which is the musical genre that in principle is not too open to following what is fashionable. The album contains fast death metal with lots of drilling guitars and blasting drum beats, which is what was good in this genre, but still is, because the band's music gives a clear message that the simplicity of performance is something that is enough to get carried away by music. Pikodeath creates songs based on a few riffs that make up individual songs, and these riffs are often repeated to give the listener solid death metal slap. It works. The songs sound brutal and concrete. Also, Pikodeath hook on less obviously sounding melodic riffs, which are delivered by fast shredding guitar techniques. There are just very few rhythms in music because the band mainly rips. Growling vocals sound racial, brutal..
Pikodeath finds a certain synergy in the music that cumulates with death metal energy in more interesting fragments. For me, it can be found in tracks like Four Aces Shooter, Foreboding or Killed By Silence.
I like this album for the completely ordinary sounding death metal tracks it offers to the listener. I think fans of Malevolent Creation, Terrorizer or Dira Mortis will easily assimilate this album, because indeed it`s easily digestible in its musical structures.
