Orchivion
Impairor
Infernum Media
A band is totally new for me. I just checked where they come from and turned out they are metal heads of Warsaw.
Imparior is a 5 songs EP which starts with instrumental-keyboard song Detronis. This a cold bringer of fire to what`s to come. So, my first guess was; will they go symphonic all the way? There`s no one answer.
There are really cool orchestrations filling up the songs indeed. What`s more important, they have a good taste and intuition playing those keyboard parts. But it`s more like accelerating force of the record, not dominating element...
Next song - Crusader is my fav. little monster. Kicks off like death metal predator on guitars, low tuned vocals then claustrophobic and spooky keyboards. They even have dark, medieval choruses like Dimmu Borgir which is fantastic. It`s very entertaining song with potential and Orchivion is able to write unbelievable music in near future I am telling you.
Next is called Sibling and guitarists continuing their technical passages and rhythms but attitude of the songs is easy to absorb. They once again doing awesome job with vocals – keeping it diverse along with thrilling keyboards.
Number four on the list is Imprecation with massive sound, little shreds and melodic moments. This song is focused more on guitar impressions and drumming is OK too. Partly, Imprecation is the heaviest song and more atmospheric. They still mix symphonic black and death metal elements, quite amazing.
The last track is a Cage. I think it`s a little overdone song with too much technicality, at least in the beginning. This track has too much ups and downs in comparison to other songs but they are back on track at some point, better finishing last minutes which saves the song. .
Orchivion`s symphonic elements are keyboards on behalf with choruses but guitar wise this band is death metal with technical attitude. They just cloud it wisely among all different genres to take you by surprise and serve the music with greater ideas. I have to say, it`s excellent from them. They mostly know how to write very good songs and they can do even better with music and sound if I look forward. I am sure of that.
Cover art is a bit Iron Man (a movie) meets Giger (art works) so it`s automate like from me.
If it is a debut record of the band then I think it`s going to be glorious!
