Olymp is a heavy metal band from Germany. The sound of the instruments on this EP is selective, old school, but you won't hear a powerful, modern super production on it. Olymp has a very nice sounding rhythm section on drums and bass, somewhat in style of the first two Iron Maiden albums. There are some nicely arranged songs with interesting guitar leads, a bit of speed metal shredding, while the vocal tone sounds grumpy, occasionally melodic. The Messenger song has some choruses and bass lines in manner of Steve Harris. Lightning Eater is a dynamic track with melodic guitars, well-played solos and warm but aggressive vocals that create the character of the song. There is another thundering song with a classic heavy metal refrein & words shouts (Fire And Fury) performed by Olymp in 80`s heavy metal style, similarly in track Shut Down which is also nice to listen to for its guitar harmonies.
