Notörious
Glamorized
Sliptrick Records
“...Hey, hey...” in Gunnerside, what possibly may sound better from such vocal shouts that just quickly connect you to music of the band like Notörious. I guess, something what only Rob Halford could do...
Glamorized is based on melodic rhythm section and the band got rid off of everything that could sound complicated for their music.
Flying High, played with guitar chords - as most part of the album, should give you vibe of hard rock, glam metal which is going on in songs. Vocal shouts, just as in these tracks is what is very essential to their music. And here they go again...- ”Hey, hey, hey...” - so simple, so effective, the quickest trick to connect to senses of listeners or to live audience during music events ...I am telling you, these tracks sound good, others too, so, do not give up on band right now...
Always desirable to hear some heavy metal tracks like Notörious and I Walked In, with that non-dying, hard rock heat that burn like a fire in these songs...
Album has also a friendly vibe. Melodic guitars, simple lyrical content are warmth part of the album. A tune like Have A Good Time has a relaxed, kind of cheesy 80`s vibe that just feels good, like when you would find yourself in some normal, maybe exciting life situation. I do not know which single promotes the album but anyway, this song could be the one.
Nice guitar solo, rhythmic-guitar groove and melodic vocal refrains are what stand out for track called Friday Night.
With more energy added to sound of guitars is what was destined for track Run For Your Life. This album has pretty good, melodic vocals which elevate band`s musical persuasion, no different in this track.
Notörious play their songs as if they want to make contact with people who will be watching their live shows, on the first place. In order to do it in genre like glam metal, you need melodic and catchy songs that hit you immediately when you hear it. It`s what lacks a bit too much in song Seducer. Other than that, decent dynamics of track do not make it a bad song, I do not think there are any bad ones in this album, they are just not Guns`n`Roses yet, where every riff of theirs is a million dollar deal.
A larger enthusiasm returns in atmospheric song Summer Nights. Melodic vocals are back and shine, guitar harmonies will carry “smiles” to your face... It`s so good to hear track like this one.
Tonight (Gonna Get It) - heavier guitars, sharp solo and solid choruses are smashing the door behind the band. Yes, it`s the end of the album, but only for now. Check Notörious out. They are from Norway.
