Lords Of The Cemetery
Citipati
Great Dane Records
I believe there are 2 persons behind this project and they are making almost everything instrumentally. Name of the first one is Christophe Florian aka LCF and he is French nationality and doing all stuff except drumming. I assume a drummer for this album is Reno Cavadaski but to be certain, better ask them first. Anyway, Lords Of The Cemetery is a band you have to pay attention to.
Music of LOTC hails from the depths of traditional death metal roots and is highly influenced by Chuck Schuldiners works. Some of famous riffs you can find in S/T song but DEATH spirit is everywhere on the album basically. Fans of Leprosy and Spiritual Healing should be completely in amok hearing this and I tell you what... I like it too. It does not bother me at all to hear another band having crush on classics of death metal.
That was obvious. But I want to ensure you that this project has own identity to offer by delivering solid vocals, fantastic guitar solos, brutality and melodic lines altogether. Album has extremely haunting moments followed by synthesizers and the way it works for the climax of the album. The record feels complete as all instruments have been tracked tremendously well. Christophe is just amazing doing his all guitar parts I must say. This album captures atmosphere of old school death metal but technically has much more arguments than other albums this type.
I haven`t rushed with Citipati. I gave its time to grow for me and it was good decision to made. Definitely check this band out.
