Lipid to już prawie 30 lat działająca ekipa z Danii, co prawda z przerwami i chyba raz pod inną nazwą zespołu, ale jednak, bagaż doświadczeń jest słyszalny na ich nowej płycie o zabójczym tytule Perfect Killing Machine.
Zespół gra brutalniejsza wersję thrash metalu z dynamicznymi riffami, melodyjnymi solówkami i dość drapieżnymi wokalami. Jest agresywna sekcja rytmiczna, a i synchronizacja wszystkich elementów instrumentalnych w zespole pokazuje dojrzałość kompozytorską ich twórców (Wreck Of The Past).
To co znamienne w ich piosenkach to potężnie, ale surowo brzmiące gitary, wsparte jednak solidnym, nowoczesnym brzmieniem. Zespół nadaje muzyce, swoim pomysłom, riffom pewną odczuwalną energię i witalność (Perfect Killing Machine) a we fragmentach gdzie trzeba po prostu przywalić porządnie, siarczyście, thrashowo, to się tak po prostu dzieje (Dead For The Rest Of Your Life). Lipid doskonale balansują ich ekstemalniejszą stronę metalu z melodyka - która zawarta jest w solówkach i chwytliwych rytmach gitarowych. Wychwycić to można w Before The Storm który jest cudownie ciężkim i łatwym do zapamiętania kawałkiem, mój faworyt.
Kiedy trzeba uzurpować sobie prawo do nadania swoim kompozycją ciężkości, to Lipid robią to wyśmienicie w piosence Imagination Of The Fake, która wgniata w ziemię potężnymi riffami i melancholijno-melodyjną rytmiką. To jest kolejny hit tej płyty zagrany w wolniejszym tempie.
Siódma piosenka na płycie została nagrana w innym studio niż pozostałe, i napisze wam że to jest dobry heavy thrashowy kawałek, ale brzmienie jest nie najlepsze w porównaniu ze standardem tej płyty, czyli piosenkami od 1 do 6.
Nie należy się tym jednak przejmować! Perfect Killing Machine zapewne nie jest żadnym odkryciem w muzyce, ale to i tak jest bardzo dobra thrashowa płyta z naleciałościami groove i death metal.

Lipid is a Danish band that has been operating for almost 30 years, although with breaks and probably once under a different name, but still, their baggage of experience can be heard on their new album with the killer title Perfect Killing Machine.
The band plays a bit more brutal version of thrash metal with dynamic riffs, melodic solos and predatory vocals. Aggressive rhythm section, and synchronization of all instrumental elements in the band shows off the compositional maturity of their creators (Wreck Of The Past).
What is characteristic about their songs are powerful, but raw-sounding guitars, boosted by a solid, modern sound. The band gives the music, its ideas and riffs a certain energy and vitality (Perfect Killing Machine) and in the fragments where I needed it to hear it harder, thrashier - they deliver (Dead For The Rest Of Your Life). Lipid perfectly balance the melody - which is contained in the solos and in catchy guitar work. I experienced it in track Before The Storm which is a wonderfully heavy and memorable track, my favorite.
When they needed to usurp the right to add heaviness to the composition, Lipid do it brilliantly in the song Imagination Of The Fake, which crushes me to the ground with powerful riffs, melancholic and melodic rhythms. This is another hit of the album played at a slower pace.
The seventh song was recorded in a different studio than other tracks, and I will tell you that it is a good heavy thrash song, but the sound is not the best compared to the standard of this album, which are songs from 1 to 6.
But don't worry about this! Perfect Killing Machine is surely not a discovery in metal music, but it is still a very good thrash album with traces of groove and death metal.
