Giordano Boncompagni
New Shred Generation
Sliptrick Records
Some people like Giordano are far away from self realization in just one regular band which could have its limitations. Having a project with own name flagged to it and artistic freedom is what it takes sometimes for better good. Being supported by other musicians that backing up his ideas are a treasure that cannot be measure by any meanings, I suppose. This Italian artist just released his album for Sliptrick Records which contains 9+ instrumental compositions for people liking advanced guitar techniques in a realm of heavy metal.
I know Italians are people that does not like repeat themselves musically and always looking for new inspirations to create their music in all colors as a painter his images. This album guarantee palette of music contrasts and vividness.
Giordano is a leading guitarist and handles rhythm and solo guitar with endless imagination and creativity. It`s very guitar oriented album, of course and this is where his main focus is. The highlight of the most amazing moments, basically happen on the whole album. Songs are often fast and monumental with amazing guitar shreds and countless number of variety solos but relaxation and acoustic motives are still very absorbing. Tracks are melodic and catchy and free of anger but still very metal, you know...Giordano plays his parts with attention to details and it`s nice time eater for me. With his heavy metal go a lot of prog elements. Maybe you could find some echoes of John Petrucci work...A keyboard, drums and bass are important and arranged professionally. Even it`s solo project though, the other musicians have done a great job here .
The album is superbly produced and sound is clear so every moment with New Shred Generation is all the way just fun.
Giordano proves by this album that his virtuosity should seeks mastery soon if he keeps what he`s doing. It`s a fantastic one with nothing really to complain about.
Current line-up:
Giordano Boncompagni [Guitar]
Tony Macalpine [Keyboard]
Aquiles Priester [Drums]
Franck Hermanny [Bass]
Guga Machado [Guests percussions]
