Gasoline Guns
Motor Cult
Defense/Mythrone Promotion
Oh yeah, the first number of this album is like an alcohol-drenched Motorhead, a retro rock 'n' roll song with melodic riffs, chorus and interesting groovy guitars.
Under Wicked Sky is more aggressive track with metallic sound of bass. Words "Hell Ride" screamed out by the singer and cool guitar solo are surely the highlight of the composition.
Changing trajectory a bit. Hell Thunder is a classic heavy metal. Thundering guitar harmonies are alike Manowar meets Hammerfall on a battlefield, in a lightning weather. Fire spreading song in a chorus.
Gasoline and Guns compiles heavy metal with hard rock, but they do not lose their rock`n`roll vibe on this record for a very long - guitar solo. Even if the album style is quite predictable. I am sure that their live set list must work when they play song like this one on a stage.
Catchy track is El Pistolero, a guitar groove, breaking riffs and overall energetic performance is something that cannot be missed.
A bit of southern rock vibe, acoustic guitars and slower pace of This Road Is A Snake is a good reason to relax with a coffee in my hands. The song ends harder and faster on guitars, but Gasoline Guns know how to keeps you on the seat by playing nice melodies and hot guitar chords.
Nothing To Prove is based on basics of music. Energetic guitar riffs and catchy rhythms is all what solid hard&heavy song needs.
Gasoline Guns continues to ruins of heavy metal and rock`n`roll in Wheels Of Rust. This song has amazing guitar groove, which here and there reminds me of Megadeth... A smoothly played solo and galloping rhythms are everything but good driven metal.
My time is definitely not lost with this album. Unfortunately, there is only one more track left to enjoy this record. It`s called And That's Why We Drink and as the whole album, it`s heavy metal but I constantly feel that Motorhead has had a huge influence on this Ukrainian band.. And they have a vocalist with a voice a`la Lemmy (more or less) as well.
