Flynotes
Child In The Woods
Independent
Flynotes is a trio playing instrumental music
Dark Floyd sound kind of doomy. The riffs of the band are heavy, melodic and hypnotizing in places. Music influences are from genres like stoner, heavy rock and from all those bands that sound a bit like Black Sabbath even if they want to or not.
Wolf is a song that flows like a quiet river and has a decent guitar solos which surround its stream.
Third track is based on simple formula of one-two rhythmic-monotonic riffs (I like bass-drums section in this song) and solo guitarist play some eerie soundscapes around it which are too often repeatable perhaps but, and I think that idea of it is still good.
Witch has a post-black metal touch in guitar tone - bleak sounding, beside it, cathedral-like keyboards are interesting music piece and they experiment with those eerie guitar sequences a lot which sound kind of original for space gravity of their music.
No harsh guitar distortions in next track – Flower Machine. It`s an atmospheric song with electronic effects that sound like extraterrestrial invasion on Earth by aliens - it sounds pretty much like those old sci-fi movie soundtracks about UFO. They did something similar in third track for a short while.
Marble/Antichrist is a spooky and well done heavy song.
Seventh track goes with some minor guitar breakdowns and in terms of this specific album, I would consider this one as band`s progressive song in which I like a music diversity.
Child In The Woods is an acoustic guitar song with ominously sounding moments, so it`s the band that wants to fright you sometimes which is okey with me.
