Fetor/Crepitation
Onset of Horrendosity
Deformeathing Production
Split with two slam brutal death metal bands: Fetor from Poland and Crepitation (thy have band logo that you learn, not read) from the UK. Length time of the Ep – approx.13 mins, so it`s a typical split destined for short 7 inch vinyl or CD release - which I’m going to review right now.
Fetor presents two tracks but one song – Killing Her Softly. First track is a studio achievement from 2018 and the song has a fat sound (think of it as something positive) and gurgling growl vocals with guest appearance from a singer of Disgorge.
Fetor set mid-tempos for this song and they chose well. Guitar sound is brutal&sick but this track has some cool waving rhythms, very characteristic for slam death metal. Drummer does a good job by filling up the spaces in music and hitting drums hard to create its distinct sound. It`s crushing song from start to end!.
Track 2 is a mixed-live performance of the same song. This version of song remains different to its studio version which is rather obvious however, nowadays many bands are able to set their live music to sound like their studio songs, at least very close to it...
A three Crepitation tracks are studio songs only. I dig Perpetrators Of Pre-Pubescent Porta-Potty Poo Pipe Punishment because of original sounding vocals which are growls but kind of sound funny and cartoon`ish, like pissed off Donald Duck or such.
Their songs have blast beats in style of death/grind to get you mutilated and heavier moments with enough weight in riffs to flat your head to ground level with some splatter effects. The music pace of their tracks is variable to keep thinks interesting, and I get it. These are 3, brutal songs of theirs and studio sound quality is good.
