Embrace The Darkness
The Nameless
Independent
I feel like I traveled in time once I was playing this EP. They are like bands from 90`s and have that early vibe of Anathema and Cemetery Of Scream in the vain. I do not say they try to play like somebody else but it is a little nostalgic for me and there is nothing wrong with it for sure.
Embrace The Darkness is a young Czech band and they are into melodic death metal and have a guy who plays only violin which is a reason why the music is melancholic, dreamy and a bit folk`ish. Very good point in their music I must say. Some acoustic guitars are superbly performed and blended incredibly with doom metal riffs that occasionally go more dynamic with guitar shreds. Their vocalist has very deep growl but sings clearly and his words are easy recognizable. In my criterion, it is always a sign of good vocalist, somebody who does his part better than others. They keep most of their guitar rhythms simple but as diverse as they can so the music becomes a source of better attraction that unwillingly tries to find its magic in universe. They give me even more reasons to enjoy what they do. They are able to create atmospheric songs with certain amount of controlled emotions. The sound they have now is really heavy, in favor of their epicness. And yes, they are youngsters but I take a joy from reading some surprisingly good lyrics, sometimes pretty dark and thoughtful.
5 songs in total and pay some attention to this band if you do not want to miss out very good debut!
