Devil`s Note
Last Cut Digipak CD EP Selfrelease
If you are a connoisseur of art work you have to look at cover to this album. It is catching attention and so does to me.
Devil`s Note is up North of Poland and this nice looking CD contains 5 songs plus intro. I went through the lyrics reading them all patiently and I would close it in one sentence saying; human mind is sick and do not let your nightmares turns real. I do not know if it`s whether clever or not, I do not care. Death metal growl vocals of Pawel Wozniak are close to Novy of Devilyn`s early works and some guitar-bass passages unconsciously pops up from Lost Soul which is distinctive in My fury. There is no way to talk about any evolutionary expansion of death metal by this band. All you get is properly played, classic material which has incredible heavy parts, well worked out guitar solos but I can`t get rid off of annoying tension that something is off . I let the band to find out maybe on next album, right? For now, I like this EP for its melodic parts more than brutal ones and all those slow crushing riffs have always been my favourite. For me, this band is all better if they keep things simple and mid paced rather than complex and crazy fast. I played Lust Cuts only a few times and hope you will enjoy it even more that I did.
