Dekapited
Sin Misericordia
Defense Records
Dekapited is considerably finest Chilean thrash metal band. The CD consists of 4 songs plus intro and outro. Intro is a famous classic music composition that Mekong Delta and A. Hitchcock used in their works. Play it and find out what it is because you most likely know it already!
Songs from 2 to 5 are invasive, almost brutal thrash metal tracks. Being fast and aggressive is the name of the game by Dekapited. Their music is very in the vein of 80/90`s classic, triumphant thrash metal. You unlikely find anything else in Sin Misericordia but galloping tempos, ultra sharp guitar shreds and chaotic screams from the vocalists. Their music is an air for them; they play honest metal, with total devotion to old school thrash style. Their enthusiasm spreads on me and I am glad to re-experience Sin Misericordia to get crazy again. Every little while, Dekapited takes music on head banging course where you can lose yourself and go insane as fuck in rhythm of songs. I think tracks with number 2, 4, 5 are best ones to break your neck.
Overall level of drumming is good - I like those fragments with a chain of drum beats that are played quickly, within one second or so. Sepultura and Kreator used to have it in their old albums. You will know when you hear it.
Dekapited is possessed by old thrash metal ghosts from the past decades and I can hear familiar music echoes in this mini album which is not a bad thing. Studio production is also good so I think there is nothing that can stand your way to get this album with more than 6 songs... Yeah, there is more shit to listen but this time it`s a case of some live tracks that they recorded somewhere. The sound of it is a nightmare and their music live is much more crazier and mad. You can skip this part if you do not like it but not Sim Misericordia – those studio songs are manically good.
