Degragore
From Sin To Redemption
Satanath Records/Metal Ör Die Records/Rebirth The Metal Productions
Hungarian Degragore is a two-piece brutal slam death metal band, hailing from a capital of the country, Budapest. In this album, vocal duties belong to Norbert Nemes. His brutal pig-gurgling growls sound pretty gross which surely shall satisfy fans of extremity. All music of the album was composed by József Tóth who has recorded all instruments to make this record done. Music base of Degragore is straight brutal, and entertaining. My best song of the album is Cannibal Priest where slamming guitar rhythms and pig squeals of the singer are making it a highlight of the album, and music elements are in symbiosis at that very moment of the track, between 1.17-1.48 mins . Also, a swinging guitar riffs they did in songs is what it takes to make a good album. Other similar track to that best one is INRI while Newborn Sacrifice is both incredibly heavy and has some groove to ease the pain in your wounds when you listen their music. The band has plenty of mid-tempo songs in style of ultra-brutal death metal which is perfect for those of you who like simplicity of music that void technical structures. I kind know of what is coming next in songs of this band but I like it.
The album has a torture vibe to music which are morbid and sick intros that give the album impression of horror and inhuman suffering. I think Degragore plays and sounds similarly to Mortician so you know what to expect from them.
In second half of the album there are re-recorded tracks from their 2007; Kissing, Pissing, Vomiting EP, which are faster songs, but playing style of the band does not change. The most interesting song at this point of the record is the one with number 12 which has very heavy and harmonic tune in terms of guitar sound.
It`s a home-made album but From Sin To Redemption has a brutally good sound. Degragore seems to have a fun with making a music and that vibe spreads on me. Surely, simplicity of their music, makes it all more digestable.
