De Lirium's Order

De Lirium's Order is a Finnish band that resides and creates music in the country's capital, Helsinki.
Singularity is a death metal album, but an unusual one that you only hear from time to time. Specifically, the band plays a fusion of technical and progressive death metal with jazz, and little black metal elements. I also sense the timeless spirit of classical music in this band a bit, especially when the guitarists play very fast which is pretty delightful to hear how skilled they are. Of course, there are a lot of technical charades and solos played by them but music ideas are all to die for. Usually, Finnish metal bands try to have something melodic in the music, which you can hear from De Lirium's Order in form of melodic death metal and mostly, when K.Olli sings with his incredible voice. Singularity has the excellent pop vocals which (as for metal band) are sung masterfully, even with a celestial touch – song Orion's Cry. Death metal growls, which are also part of this album sound decent and brutal, you know-very okay but I would not mind if the band completely gave up them once because they showcased that they can do better without it. If you like guitar layers in music, De Lirium's Order also explores those areas of music in which the songs structures are complex but flourishing, and album amazes with a surprising frequency. Musicianship of the band is great without doubt. I think they nailed best songs to date, right to this particular release. I really enjoy my time with their music. You could listen to the instrumental-acoustic song Acoustiv Medley to quickly find out that De Lirium's Order is a group of people who can play everything on instruments splendidly and the only creative barrier for them could be their own imagination which fortunately they use well.
Songs of the album are performed and played impeccably, including variations of the drummer. They did exemplary work with technical side of music and its quality. Album received very well studio production and metal sound that does not involve sound obscurity at all even if generally it`s death metal.
This release has no bad tracks and spectrum of music influences go beyond metal. I think that fans of Dream Theater, Dimmu Borgir, Cynic, Obscura, Amorphis should have plenty of good time when playing tracks by De Lirium's Order.
