Cult Of The Horns
Chapter I, Domination
Symbol Of Domination
Ira Militias
Fuck! Cult Of The Horns is a bestial death metal band from France and this is 2017 debut album from them. They released it few years after a demo - Hatred And Desecration and split album with Goatvermin from 2015. The band is lead by Mephisto and N. but they are supported on their gigs by live musicians so it is not just studio project.
This album is a humiliating, merciless and full of hatred war death black metal album that will sentence you to death without judging your guilt or innocence. They are absolutely mad on drums and perform hideous growls on vocals while tempo of most songs takes no prisoners. The band delivers certainty of death and black metal sound that lead to total music destruction. They also mix the music with a depth of black metal guitars so the production has a blackened death metal touch to it. Possibly fans of Deicide, Blasphemy, Azarath, Hate or Bestial Deform will spot few influences from these bands in music of Cult Of The Horns but these French band is effortlessly as good as most of them. Especially, when come to face brutality and barbarity of the songs, music goes to the level when humanity meets its inevitable extinction. They not always play with speed of light; often just heavier and have middle paced death metal moments to take a breath. It does not always sound flawless and this is a reason I like them much more with uncompromising blasts and speed. What`s interesting, the songs turn to sound only black and only death metal sometimes or both genres go altogether causing a thrill of having a little earthquake in my room. I do not think this album has ever supposed to sound perfect or anything like that but as a bringer of extreme brutality, Chapter I, Domination works its way to the obliteration of the WEAK .
