This is co-music release of American and Russian one-man bands.
Unholy Ghost Liturgy is most bizarre, depressive and ill-tempered ambient black metal album I have heard recently. They prepared sickening- abyssic sound with multiple distortions and you can hear everything like it was coming from another room but behind locked doors. Music is full of suffering and darkness like there was presence of tortured and tormented souls in hell while they were making music. The album is evil minded and suicidal. They used some samplers to increase fear and insanity that will probably drives you mad. There is a constant threat in music that emphasizes confusion. I feel quite unsettled with this album and they even “want you to die” like it says in one of their songs...
I am not going to pretend that I like amateur sound of this record. It`s pity that a lot of bands are losing their potential releasing their music with production other than professional. If they have chosen just better sound like in first song, music could reveal much scarier and powerful range of frightening, especially on this very tense and mind-terror spreading album. That`s a shame they did not let that happen to their songs and because of that...It is kind of “love it or hate it” record but I am not misguided by anything they do with music. I am fascinated by malevolence of their songs and believe it or not I never heard anything such abominable and original like these 2 bands. Except it`s good album with shitty sound, everything that appear abnormal is just normal to specific realm of this record.
Both bands are worth each other when comes to play really spooky and bizarre stuff which they are quite persistent when doing so (over one hour of music).
