Carcass - Surgical Steel - Nuclear Blast Records CD
Lads and maids. Carcass is back to musical firmanent like a shape of surgical blade and yes it does not feel like they were gone for nearly 2 decades. I did not expect anything from the band really, so it was quite nice to found that Surgical Steel sailing somewhere between my favorite Heartwork and Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious albums.
Guitars work on the record covers best ideas the band was able to catch up with which for me is more precious and melodic than ever before. Suprisingly there is not much sugar out of Jeff Walker vocals and that is great. That`s one of the elements which let thousands of followers worldwide inspired grind gore and death metal scene back in time. Album sounds smoothly and if you think is gone too far then disgust and obscure lyrical content reminds you where their roots come from. Basically I could go morgue with these guys and have some fun off the dead. Maids and lads, Surgical steel is good for you.
