Blood Thirsty Demons
...In Death We Trust
The Triad Records
Here I have one-man band for review that is leading by multi-instrumentalist - Cristian Mustaine. He is doing his thing since 1997 and he benefits from that time-wise experience by recording stuff that he likes musically. The mix and mastering of instruments on this album is what I was not expected to hear but it`s so well done.
It`s a horror metal album which is a combination of death metal (Bestialord, Necrophagia) with necro black thrash metal (music can surprise you either by aggressive and melodic guitar riffs) and even heavy metal (King Diamond).
Beside all vocals, the insanity of this album lurks in a creepy but very exciting keyboard arrangements that sound much more cinematic than symphonic (oh...yes, now I have all Italian horror movies before my eyes that I have watched on TV in the past - Argento, Fulci, Bava). Think King Diamond, Italian movie soundtracks and organ music to get the idea of how the keyboards sound like on this album. You certainly can get some goosebumps on your skin when you will hear those songs, surrounded by horror occult themes. I have to write that vocals sound really haunting on this recording if you like early Mayhem, only Cristian is capable to sing more flexible.
...In Death We Trust is 8th album from this Italian demon. His music has all signs of maturity and there are a lot of great written tracks on this album, just to mention: I`m Dead, Message From The Dead, Cry On My Tomb (something for Black Sabbath elders), Killed By The Priest, ...My Soul To Take (guitars solos a`la Bathory) and more creepy metal lullabies to choose from...
It`s very good album from Blood Thirsty Demons to say the least!
