Blacksnake
Blood Of The Snake
Defense Records
Poland is not only black and death metal famous as many people would think and they are all wrong if they try to label Polish metal, only as extreme.
Blacksnake with Blood Of The Snake`s new album delivers melodic vocals, catchy songs and mind blowing metal songs. It`s hard to refer to just one music direction to which they plugged in their music influences. The songs have great stoner vibe but not much of its dirty sound which is a reason I prefer to think about it like excellent rock`n`roll metal album. The other possible inspiration for them was a southern country music&rhythms. You might feel that you ride a horse on Texas desert when you hear Restless song which indeed, is an amazing one with piercing vocals of Dominika Kobiatka. There`s a little of classic but free interpreted European& British rock, heavy metal influences to give it more rock`n`roll feeling and charm. I have to tell you that if in RNR All Day song there were vocals of Titus from Acid Drinkers, then I would presume it`s their new song I did not know about. All I am saying, it`s very cool track that makes me drink to it because I am driven by its super mood, probably like people when they smoke a weed...
I assure you that musically, Blacksnake goes hand to hand with other Polish bands like J.D. Overdrive, Acid Drinkers which are one of the best. This is the album where every song is different from each other but each one of them has their own energy and vitality which is very refreshing. Seriously, Blacksnake has greater potential as a band than they would think about. The vocalist challenges his voice very good and the lyrics are pretty cool to read. This album feels very much like complete work and it should serve as an example of how you should write melodic metal in this country.
The CD has a marvelous graphic arts (lyrics on one side and big poster on the other) and I am not going to point out my best songs of the album, just look at track list and take your pick.
And my final words about Blood Of The Snake. They have showed off the band`s incredible song writing abilities and you can play their music everywhere on the world with your heads fucking up. I am probably more proud of this album than a band is but it is just my way to let you know that I am dying for this record to play it again.
