Maldicion
S/T
Black Oak Productions CD EP
I have seen on the archive page of the band that in 2015 they released 3 small records and that could means the band is catching momentum and record everything they have, every few months for sake of doing so. There are 3 songs going my way and I feel free to write something about that.
It`s quite intriguing how first song Angel`s Blood has captured some influences of Mayhem`s De Misteries Dom Sathanas initially arose interest to the band. I like this song and how black and death metal has been put together. This is most European/Scandinavian sounding track here with dose of early productions from Behemoth. Second song-Temptress starts off fast tempo with demonical vocals and blazing riffs. They slow down for a minute to kill it fast again finishing off with some melodic content and solos. Last one Walk With Me Through Hell seems to have more primitive approach but this time it`s more lively from the start with cold ice guitars as it goes toward the end.
A garage, raw sounding production is the way Maldicion has chosen to present those songs and it`s a bit chaotic and unpleasant which is not necessary bad thing here . Songs are decent and just need some good studio engineer next to make serious step up for the band if they care being more evil sounding.
